Order of love Order of love – Family Constellations as method was developed at the beginning of 80-ies by Bert Hellinger, German psychotherapist, philosopher, theologist and pedagogue. Influenced by the group dynamics, primal therapy, transactional analasys and various types of hypnotherapy, he adapted the method to contemporary therapeutic approach. The Order of Love is successfully applied in the whole world. The terms used for this method are "Familienaufstellung", "Constellation Work" or "Hellinger-Work". Order of Love – Family Constellations is a phenomenological method. With its profound healing effects, it exceeds the limits of classical therapeutic work. It includes both transpersonal domain, known to us, as well as soul level, the relations within the family and social environment. This method overgrows the personal level and enables the comprehension of the trans-generational dynamics and its influence on the individuals. Once understanding these dynamics through so-called collective memory that connects us with the trans-personal, we become able to understand the bonds and the true meaning of the relations. This brings tremendous progress, resolutions and healing. Sensations and emotions of the representatives are the central place of the Order of Love. This is one of the basic human abilities - the ability to experience emotions of others on the physical and emotional level, to have “knowledge” about them, without prior cognitive information whatsoever. Being a “medium” for the experiences of the others is the ancient human ability, which has its roots at the very beginnings of the human kind. This ability and knowledge are applied in many other types of modern therapy (concept of mutual transmitting in psychoanalysis). The level of differentiation of this ability has reached its highest in the Order of Love method. Family Constellations represent so-called “field of knowledge” which reflects the state of energy within the (family) system on the practical level, with tremendous healing potential. With its empirical contents of the spiritual information and energy field, it reaffirms and supplements the ideas of modern science, such as “morphogenetic fields” (Rupert Sheldrake). The Order of Love method is a solution-oriented therapy. It submits to natural orders and laws existing within the family or system, the categories that are beyond moral codexes. The violation of these codexes could bring suffering and diseases, and its reestablishing brings healing. Recognizing these natural laws and following the energy processes that are in the service of life, we are able to reach love that becomes the basic support and strength in the family. One of these natural laws are, for example, the rights of all family memebers (system) to belong to the family or system, regardless of moral codexes. There is also the inviolable right to one’s own destiny, suffering or guilt. The children, for instance, can not bear their parents’ burden – they have to let them have the honour and dignity to bear it on their own, thus bringing the prosperity into their own lives. Inclusion of the ancestors and dead family members, as well as those who became energetiaclly bound to the system due to war sufferings, brings peace on very deep level, allowing the influx of new strength to the living members of the family. The work with Order of Love demands proffesional post-graduate studies and qualifications, as well as sound knowledge of recognized psychotherapeutic methods. The practitioner of the Order of Love method must give up the idea of controlling the situation and has to work, as Bert Hellinger says, „without intention or fear“.
